Bushel is pleased to present SIGNS OF THE TIMES, a changing exhibition of handmade signs and banners that voice opinion on the issues of the day. The exhibition will run from February 11 through March 27, 2017.

“Many of us are concerned at the alarming rise of hate, bigotry, sexism, and xenophobia in our country,” say coordinators Mina Takahashi and Marco Breuer.

“The goal of this exhibition project is to showcase, facilitate, and inspire the production of artful expression of Resistance and Repair.” Signs will rotate on view as they are being made in response to the fast-changing political landscape.

During the run of the show, Bushel will offer diverse programming including sign-making workshops, letter-writing days, letterpress and silkscreen workshops, and film screenings and lectures on the history and practice of creative resistance.
