Listening to Place with Chelsea Frisbee Johnson and Willard Frisbee

Please join us for a reading from Chelsea Frisbee Johnson‘s new chapbook, Listening to Place, where she weaves together stories, family lore, and reflections from the perspective of her favorite place—the farm her family has stewarded for generations. Enjoy snacks from the farm at 6pm, followed by a 7:00 reading from the book and conversation with Willard Frisbee, Chelsea’s 96-year-old grandfather, to hear more of his stories and special relationship with Place.

Chelsea Frisbee Johnson is a writer and mother based in the rolling hills and narrow valleys of Delhi, NY. Her work explores what it means to be truly alive and in relationship with others, including our landscapes. Her debut book, A Journey of Light, is a shared mother-daughter story of love, loss, and courage written in collaboration with her late mother, Susan Woodworth.
