[Talk] Climate R/Evolution, by Dr. Kevin Schultz
Sat, Feb 15, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
TALK / DEMO
What is the current science behind global climate change? Dr. Schultz will outline the facts—widely known and less known—so we can get a better handle on what we hear in the media and from others. Schultz will address what the science has to say about the future of our planet, and how we must move from a personal response to the climate crisis towards collective action.
Dr. Kevin Schultz and his family moved to Oneonta in 2012. He is Associate Professor and Chair of the Physics Department at Hartwick College, as well as the Chair of Oneonta’s Environmental Board. For the past several years he has been engaged with the community and his college to work for a more sustainable Oneonta, both through volunteering and through a series of public lectures.
This event is organized as part of the FROZEN WARNINGS exhibition project, supported in part with funds from the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and the New York State Legislature and administered in Delaware County by the Roxbury Arts Group.
