Are you curious about electric vehicles? Do you already drive one? Join Eric Laine, chairman of the SUNY Delhi Green Team Committee and associate professor, to learn about electric vehicles (EV), how they work, EV facts vs. myths, current EV offerings, and factors to consider when deciding if an EV would be a good choice for your next vehicle purchase. After the presentation Laine will lead a group discussion to field questions, hear from our EV-driving neighbors about their experiences, and address how our rural communities can prepare for the EV revolution. Free and open to the public, with a $5-$10 suggested donation.

Eric Laine has an M.S.E.D in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland and is Associate Professor in the Natural Resource Recreation and Sports Department at SUNY Delhi. He chairs the SUNY Delhi Green Team Committee and teaches American Red Cross First Aid classes, outdoor recreation electives, and general physical education classes. He commutes from Binghamton, NY with his Chevy Bolt EV, pictured above at the Delhi Electric Co-op Charging Station. He enjoys outdoor pursuits with his family and building Koi Ponds and water gardens during his free time as well as promoting sustainable living practices.
