Poet and scholar Iris Cushing is leading an 8-week writing workshop at Bushel, on Wednesday evenings, 6 to 9 pm, from May 23rd through July 11th. The workshop will provide a dedicated space for writers of fiction, essays, and poetry to share written work, receive and give feedback, and engage in constructive conversation about how to develop our craft as writers. The cost of the workshop is $160 for the 8-week session. Limited spots are available. To apply, please send a two-page writing sample to: writingworkshop@bushelcollective.org.

IRIS CUSHING is a poet, scholar, educator and founding editor for Argos Books, an independent poetry press. Her poems and critical writings have appeared in numerous publications, including the Boston ReviewFence, and the Academy of American Poets Poem-A-Day series; her poetry collection Wyoming won the 2013 Furniture Press Poetry Prize. A doctoral candidate in English at the CUNY Graduate Center, Iris is currently at work on a biographical dissertation titled “Pierce and Pine: Diane di Prima, Mary Norbert Korte and the Question of Matter and Spirit.” She has taught writing and literature at Columbia University, Queens College, and Eugene Lang/The New School, and she lives in Delaware County.
