[workshop] Toy Rebuild, with Laura Taylor
Sat, Mar 18, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

CLASS / WORKSHOP

In this all-ages workshop, we will take apart old toys and board games and rebuild them using a variety of tools and glues. Bring an old toy or use one provided. Delve into childhood memories. Remake. Rebuild. Reimagine. Surprise yourself!

We will have a Dremel, cutting implements, hammers, screwdrivers, and a variety of glues and paints to work with. A selection of toys, playing cards, boxes, and playing pieces will be on hand.

This workshop is free, with a suggested donation of $10–$15 per person. Please register below to attend. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

This workshop is led by New Kingston artist Laura Taylor, co-curator of the current exhibition at Bushel, Commemorating COVID. This group show features five COVID memorials, one by Taylor that includes rebuilt toys in her sculptural installation.
