Music historian and Pratt Professor Cisco Bradley visits Diamond Hollow to present his two recent Duke University Press publications:

The Williamsburg Avant-Garde: Experimental Music and Sound on the Brooklyn Waterfront and Universal Tonality: The Life and Music of William Parker.

The Williamsburg Avant-Garde covers such topics as “…Warehouses, Squatter Parties, and Punk Roots 1988-1994”, The Williamsburg Loft Scene, 1997–2004, The Downtown Scene [&] Zebulon, 2004–2006 and “…The Last Avant-Garde Music Spaces of Williamsburg, 2005–2014”.

Bradley’s book on the bassist and bandleader William Parker got the short end of the stick as it was published during early Covid, so the author will offer a reading from this book as well.
